Our sister museum the California Route 66 Museum in Victorville
is going to have a Route 66 Swap Meet in their parking lot Sunday
May 4th, 2008 from 8 till noon.

CAR SHOW CELEBRATION 6-14-2008

The
Barstow Route 66 Mother Road Museum presents the 8th Anniversary
Celebration CLASSIC CAR SHOW Saturday, June 14, 2008 from
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Historic Harvey House Casa del Desierto
in Barstow, CA.
Vehicle pre-registration
is $15.00 by June 8 and $20.00 June 9th to the day of show. The
Car Show is open to all vehicles regardless of year including stock,
classic, unrestored, motorcycles and hot rods.
 The
Route 66 Mother Road Museum’s Car Show will be a fun family affair.
The great DJ Kev Dog will be returning to announce and play those
popular fifties, oldies and hotrod tunes to the delight of everyone.
Ten Special Award Trophies (possibly more) are being designed and
hand crafted by local Eddie Cordova to be presented to the winners.
Meet Route 66 Personalities and our new Miss Route 66 Titleholders.
There will be a variety of Show Cars and Motorcycles to check out
including unique vehicles.
The Route 66 ART SHOW has been added to the event featuring noted
artists Phil Yeh of the comic book “Dinosaurs Across Route 66” and
cartoonist Phil Ortiz of the Simpsons!

Prizes! – We’re working until the last moment to provide more prizes
and surprises. Should you have any products or items to contribute
for the drawings or goody bags, please contact the Route 66 Mother
Road Museum. Also, appropriate brochures, coupons, business cards
and flyers are accepted for handouts.
Please join us in support of the Route 66 Museum’s 8th Anniversary
on June 14th to celebrate efforts to
preserve our history of roads and transportation for our children

Ever Barstow Route 66 Mother Road Museum Scholarship |

Students attending
Barstow Community College may apply for a $250.00
scholarship. Deadline is April 15, 2006. Applicants must demonstrate
an active interest in preservation and promotion of Route 66.

18th Annual Stater Bros. Route 66 Rendezvous
SAN
BERNARDINO - The 18th annual Stater Bros. Route 66 Rendezvous
is California’s largest cruisin’ classic
car show and the largest
automotive celebration of the historic Route 66 Highway!
The excitement takes place in downtown San Bernardino,
California during September 13 - 16, 2007- that’s
four days and three nights of cruising fun and celebration.
The
17th annual Stater Bros. Route 66 Rendezvous was a great
success thanks to our cruisers, sponsors & classic
car lovers! The readers of the Press Enterprise selected
the 2006 Route 66 Rendezvous as the Best Special Event
in the Inland Empire.
Over
2,100 beautiful pre-1974 and 500,000 car enthusiasts
cruised the 35 blocks of downtown San Bernardino in
2006 and enjoyed the awesome cars, food, vendors, sponsors
and live entertainment throughout the event.
